1. Agreement
By downloading or using CoverID Redact ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of service
CoverID Redact is a personal document vault for iOS that lets you scan, store, organize, and create safer copies of identity and travel documents. The App includes free features and optional paid features ("Pro").
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CoverID Redact. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
4. Your responsibilities
- Remember your PIN and maintain access to your Apple ID.
- Keep your device secure — CoverID Redact relies on device-level security.
- If you enable iCloud Backup, ensure you have sufficient iCloud storage and maintain access to your Apple ID.
- Store only documents you have a legal right to possess.
- Do not use the App to facilitate identity theft, fraud, or any illegal activity.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Pro features require a subscription (monthly, annual) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests should be directed to Apple. CoverID Redact does not process payments directly.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device. You retain access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period. Free features remain available after cancellation.
7. Intellectual property
CoverID Redact, its design, code, and branding are the property of Ruslan Grabar. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control.
Your documents remain yours. CoverID Redact claims no ownership or rights over any content you store in the App.
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how your data is handled.
9. No legal advice
CoverID Redact is a tool, not a legal, financial, or immigration advisory service. The App does not guarantee that any exported document copy will be accepted by any organization, employer, or government body.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Store illegal content or documents you are not authorized to possess.
- Use exports to create fraudulent copies or impersonate another person.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
- Circumvent or disable any security features of the App.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
CoverID Redact is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of OCR, completeness of redaction, or uninterrupted operation. You use the App at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoverID Redact and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access, or encryption failures.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CoverID Redact and its developer from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Girona, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in your jurisdiction.
